Kabir Khan’s next directorial ‘83’ based on the glorifying win of Indian cricket team’s at 1983 Cricket World Cup, is going to be the latest addition into the list.
Ranveer Singh who is investing his blood and sweat to bring the character into life in this film, is already the centre of all the attraction after his marvelous performance in ‘Gully Boy’.
However, the biggest news revolving around the film is that Deepika Padukone is going to be featured as Romi Bhatia, wife of Mr. Kapil Dev in the movie.
Confirming the news, Deepika herself says, “I am so glad that Kabir (Khan) came to me with it. This happened a couple of months ago when he was still casting the boys for the film. It’s just that I was busy with ‘Chhappak’ and we were waiting for the right moment to make the announcement.”
Announcement of Ranveer-Deepika’s first on-screen appearance after the marriage has naturally created a huge buzz among the fans and in the industry as well. While Ranveer is currently busy in filming his part in London, Deepika says “I can’t think of anyone else who could do justice to the role (of Kapil Dev), but if there was someone else playing him in the film, and not Ranveer, I would still do my part. This isn’t coming from a personal equation, but from my passion and enthusiasm for the film.”

Just after Deepika has finished the shooting of her upcoming film ‘Chhapaak’, the news of this Ranveer-Deepika duo has surely stirred the excitement among film enthusiasts all over the country. ‘83’ is set to be released on April 10, 2020 which means fans still have to wait almost a year to witness the magic of this off-screen couple in theatres.
