Is Ashutosh Gowariker worried even after having Arjun Kapoor signed for his forthcoming giant project Panipat due to the actor’s recent poor performances in the box office? Well, at least the reliable source straight from Mumbai’s Mehboob studio where the sets of ‘Panipat’ is set up says so.
Arjun Kapoor’s last few films, namely, ‘India’s Most Wanted’ directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and ‘Namaste England’ helmed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah couldn’t perform well in the box office. Arjun’s last movie that managed to roar in terms of the gross collection was Mohit Suri’s directorial ‘Half Girlfriend’ in 2017 starring Shraddha Kapoor.
‘Panipat’ is surely going to be a grand-budget project as Ashutosh Gowariker’s films always happen to be, and the casts of the movie are already declared. Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt will be seen to feature Parvati Bai and Ahmad Shah Abdali respectively while Arjun Kapoor is going to play the character of Sadashiv Rao Bhau.
However, according to source from the sets, although Arjun has signed for the project, Gowariker is still in dilemma regarding Kapoor’s character in this huge-budget period film after the consecutive poor performance of Arjun’s movies at the box office.
‘Panipat’ is going to be released in this year’s December, as declared earlier. But this new clash between Gowariker and Arjun may delay the scheduled release of the film as anticipated. Anyway, the entire unit of ‘Panipat’ along with B-town is looking forward to a quick solution to this bizarre situation between the director and lead actor of the film
